Volunteer Openings
Posted Oct 22, 2011

SCORE is a soccer club run completely by volunteers.  As such, we are always looking for more volunteers to keep our club strong and growing, and to help provide the best possible learning environment for teaching the game of soccer. SCORE has always prided itself on its high-level of organization and infrastructure, but this can only be accomplished through the work of many dedicated volunteers. An infusion of new volunteers every year helps retain the current volunteer base with all of its knowledge and experience, along with bringing new skills and ideas to our club.

Below is a list of the current volunteer openings and a description of each.  Contact Larry Sullivan, Don Sando or any SCORE board member if you are interested in one of these positions.

  1. MOD Field Coordinator - assists the Field Coordinator with the management and preparation of the fields used for MOD (U5-U10) games and practices.  This includes developing a MOD practice field schedule and field lining/goals schedule and coordinating with field captains to ensure any MOD field issues are addressed.
  2. Vice President of Fundraising - assists the President and other Vice Presidents as necessary; shall have responsibility for all club fundraising and special events, including assisting the tournament director with the annual 6-A-Side Tournament and other similar programs.
  3. Newsletter Coordinator - compiles, edits and distributes the club newsletter prior to the fall season; compiles and contributes to the Association’s league newsletter and other Association publications as reasonably required.

Coaches, assistant coaches and team managers are essential to the success of our teams on the pitch, but volunteers for administration and management positions are also needed to keep the club running.  Please consider stepping up to help SCORE continue to operate smoothly.
