Field Management
SCORE volunteers are responsible for most game day preparations, including the proper lining of fields, putting goal nets up prior to the first game of the day and taking them down after all games are completed that day, and in some cases the placement and removal of corner flags on the pitch.
No SCORE fields are used for GRJSA spring MOD soccer, so field captains are not required. For the fall season, each SCORE field is assigned a field captain. Field captains are responsible for providing access to the field as necessary for both practices and games, and addressing any field or facility issues that may occur. For fields that require lining and nets up/nets down, the field captain should contact the assigned team or volunteer for the week to remind them of their responsibilities.
Please make sure that no trash is left on the fields after practices and games. We have had complaints from school district officials that they are having to clean up after us, so please do your part so that our access to these fields is not revoked.

Fall 2010 Coach Contact Information - Coming Soon!
Contact information for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010 coaches is still available:
NOTE: Especially for GRJSA spring soccer, SCORE encourages coaches to contact the opposing coach prior to the day of the game to ensure that there are no scheduling conflicts and that the opposing team can field a team at the scheduled time and location.
Team rosters and contact information for players can be found by logging into the SAM account created for your team.
Equipment
The SCORE equipment storage unit is at Storage One (formerly Mr. Van Gard) , located at 4725 NE 4th Street in Renton, behind the Dairy Queen. Contact our equipment manager, Tim Ruhl, if you need access. If you are returning items to the storage unit, please put them back in the appropriate place, or if they are miscellaneous items such as practice balls, please bag them up so that the storage unit stays organized (plastic garbage will work just fine).
Risk Management
All coaches and assistant coaches must complete a Risk Management Application (RMA) prior to coaching youth soccer. If you are not yet RMA cleared, please complete the online application IMMEDIATELY. If you already have your RMA acceptance card, please verify that it is current and unexpired. Contact the registrar, Virginia Battle, if you need to know the expiration date. To submit or renew your RMA, log into your member account and go to Register Now, then select General Volunteer & Board Member RMA Application.
Concussion Resources
The Zackery Lystedt Law, enacted on July 26, 2009, proscribes that all players and parent(s) of players become aware of the signs and symptoms of brain injury and concussions, and that an informed consent form be signed and returned relating to the nature and risk of such injuries. WSYSA has incorporated this into the Bonzi registration process so that concussion educational resources can be viewed online and informed consent can be obtained electronically. Monthly compliance reports will be issued by WSYSA, so coaches please make every effort to ensure your entire team is in compliance with this new law.
Laws of the Game
Coaches should review the laws of the game prior to their first match of the season. GRJSA has modified the FIFA laws of the game for younger age groups, hence the term "MOD soccer" for ages U5-U11. Find the relevant rules for your age group in the links below.
