Fall Recreational Soccer - Online Registration is Closed
Online registration for fall MOD soccer is now closed, but registering your son or daughter is still possible by e-mailing the registrarDue to the high volume of registration requests during this time, please do not expect a response for up to 72 hours; duplicate e-mail requests will only further delay this response time.  SCORE will make every effort to place returning players on the same team as they were on last year if so desired, but this may not be possible for late registrants.

The fall MOD soccer season commences with an association-wide jamboree on Saturday, September 11th at McKnight Middle School.  The 10-game regular season starts Saturday, September 18th and ends on November 20th.

 2010-11 Competitive Soccer
SCORE tryouts are complete but if your son or daughter is interested in playing select soccer, there may still be space available on a team at their age level.  Contact the coach directly to see if their team has a roster spot open.  Visit the SCORE Select page for team and coach contact information.  The player registration fee for the 2010-11 season is still only $150, the same as the 2009-10 season.  Coaches should ensure all players are registered prior to participating in practices and tournaments.

Highlander Girls Soccer Fall Kickoff Jamboree and Clinic
The August MOD coaching clinics are now complete, but the Hazen High School girls soccer team is hosting a coaches clinic on Saturday, September 4th for MOD coaches and teams, as part of the first annual Highlander Girls Soccer Fall Kickoff Jamboree.  24 girls high school teams will be competing in the jamboree, and clinics for MOD coaches and players will be held for up to 20 teams between the turf soccer field and the grass football field at the west end of the Hazen campus (behind the school).  Coaches should e-mail Ken Matthews, the Hazen girls soccer coach to signup your team!  For more information, see our Camps & Training page.
GU8 Newcastle Lions - Rumble at the River Champions!
SCORE's own GU8 Newcastle Lions won the Rumble at the River 3v3 tournament held in Kennewick on August 21, 2010!  The girls had 3 victories in 4 games with wins over teams from Richland and Spokane, with the lone defeat at the hands of the eventual runner-up team from Kennewick.  The same two teams met again in the championship game where Newcastle dominated play on their way to a 9-4 victory and 1st place trophy in the inaugural tournament.  Congratulations Newcastle Lions!

The Lions are coached by Don Plowman with team members Madison Plowman, Lexi Morris, Brooke Pedersen (top row L to R), Camryn Gibson, Karli Hughes and Alexa Ford (bottom row L to R).
SCORE Teams at Snohomish Bigfoot Tournament
Besides the 6-A-Side, the Snohomish Bigfoot tournament is probably the most popular summer tournament for SCORE teams to enter.  Set in vast farmland next to the Pilchuck River, Bigfoot provides endless camping opportunities and throws in a Friday night dance to boot, all of which adds up to a great weekend of soccer and fun.  And once again this year, SCORE is well represented with 4 teams competing against tough competition to win a Bigfoot trophy.  Click on the SCORE team names below to view their game results at the tournament!
Congratulations to the Eagles 94 boys for advancing to the semifinals of the BU16 Premier Division!  The Eagles boys were hoping for a "three-peat" , having won the Bigfoot gold premier division the last two years, but lost in the seventh round of PKs to Snohomish United after the game was deadlocked 1-1 at the end of 60 minutes of play.
September Club Meeting - Monday, September 13th at Jack's
The next club meeting has been rescheduled back to its original date and time - Tuesday, September 13th at 7:30 PM at Jack's Bar & Grill.  Agenda items include preparations for fall season, board member elections and recruitment of additional volunteers.  All coaches are required to attend or send a representative for their team.  Club meetings are usually held on the 2nd Monday of the month at Jack's Bar & Grill located at 3901 NE 4th, suite 105 in Renton, and consist of a general membership meeting followed by a board meeting.  All club members are welcome to attend!
25th Anniversary 6-A-Side Tournament

The 25th anniversary 6-A-Side tournament is now complete, but SCORE would like to thank the many volunteers that stepped up to help make it successful.  A list of these volunteers is on our Tournaments page. The 6-A-Side is SCORE's biggest fundraiser of the year and without all of their help, it would not be possible.  SCORE also wishes to thank the city of Renton for their support - the 6-A-Side has been part of Renton River Days since its inception.

Game results and finalists are now available on the Tournaments page.  A big thank you to all of the teams joining us to celebrate our 25th anniversary!  We hope to see you back here for the 26th 6-A-Side tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 23rd, 2011.

Eagles 94 Boys - Far West Regional Wrap-up
The Eagles 94 boys were one of only two teams in GRJSA invited to participate in the Far West President's Cup regional tournament in Medford, Oregon held on June 16-20.  As a WSYSA Challenge Cup finalist, the Eagles 94 boys accepted a wild card berth to Regionals, where tournament winners advance to Nationals in Tennessee.  The Eagles boys had a great tournament, winning games against Fusion FC (Utah) and group winner Hemet Juventus (Cal South wild card), and narrowly missed advancing to the championship match.

This was a great honor for the Eagles 94 boys to represent the state of Washington and SCORE at the regional finals.  Of the 18 Washington teams participating in Regionals at all age levels, only one team had a better record than our Eagles.  SCORE congratulates them on an epic 2009-10 campaign and continued success on the pitch in 2010-11!
